SkyWatch aggregates satellite data from open and commercial sources and provides developers with a better infrastructure to build applications using this data.
Users can search the data from over 12 different free satellites, such as Landsat-8, Sentinel-2, MOPITT, MODIS (Aqua and Terra), AIRS, OCO-2, etc. They have been operating for several years and many of them collect information about the Vancouver area on a regular basis. The daily revisit rate for MODIS is 1-2 days, Sentinel-2 is about 10 days for North America. You should be able to find some information about the city and the surroundings
The platform is entirely free to use with open data (50 GB download max) and anyone can ask for an API key. If you think that is of use to your hack, users can request a free key using this form.
