  Proposals added in this update:
  • MoU  ; Proposal   Draft: An MoU for an Autonomous Networks Multi-SDO Initiative - Please Review (MSDO-6) - AN-SDO Collaboration - TM Forum Confluence
    • MoU announcement of work  
      • Review draft MoU proposal. 
      • Objective is to get to a point that we can announce the initiative in public if possible in a press release and that we gain visble commitemtn for SDOs.
      • General agreement to the approach of working on opportunities ( Klaus/ETSI, Nick/ETSI, Ranganai/ IEEE).
      • Looking  to get some form of agreement to move these items forward
        - in particular TM Forum keen to get the Operational Use Cases moving forward. which is the subject of second proposal. 
      • Opinion is that would be better to describe as aLetter of Intent rather than Memorandum of Understanding as easier to manage within the organizations for example in ETSI MoU have to have Board Approval.
      • Believe necessary to keep the scope and focus to something achievable.
      • Review of opportunities suggested we should make sure we address the fully scope of topic but at a high holistic level.
      • AP TMForum Dave Milham  update MoU draft to be a Letter of Intent (LoI).
      • AP TM Forum  send a liaison within two days  with LoI request comment and feedback  on the Letter of Intent within 2 weeks. 
      • AP ALL SDO to provide initial comment on the proposal by the 5th July   and indicate when they could formally agree to the Letter of Intent ( will depend on each SDO internal procedures.
    • Agreements needed to share  review and approved  the Joint White Paper 
      • Luigi mentioned that we will need to address IPR issues . Need to be clear whether the SDO are producing the joint documents or the Open Discussion groups as participation is different.
      • Two possible approaches: Multi-SDO IPR agreement . or IPR declarations per documents . Latter may be easier as scope is clear, and we will know from confluence who contributed what.
      • AP TM Forum will draft an MSDO IPR  proposal for review and agreement  by liaison.
  •    Joint WP addressing proposal in Roadmap and Landscape WP02. Work Packages ( WP)  Proposal WP05
    
    • Objective:  Establish coverage of  WP02 Use cases by  current and planned work in SDOs
    • Overall SDO document landscape based on data captured in:
      • Topic / SDO Matrix
      • Detailed scope of current and planned work derived from  SDO Completed and Planned AN Activities Tables - AN-SDO Collaboration - TM Forum Confluence
    • Mutually agreed Joint analysis. 
    • Recommendations
    • Establish target date for delivery
      • TM Forum reviewed the proposal  MSDO-5 Joint SDO AN White Paper-3. pptx.pptx
      • Goal is to address CM Operational use cases 
      • Need SDO to complete: 
        • Topic / SDO Matrix.
        • Detailed scope of current and planned work derived from  SDO Completed and Planned AN Activities Tables.
        • For those documents and activities they think fall within the remit of the operational use cases and cover common operational principles (See IEEE Proposal). 
      • TM Forum have proposed examples and some TM Forum documents in SDO Completed and Planned AN Activities Tables  and have a few more they will contribute before the end of the week.
      • discussed dates: for TM Forum and 3GPP a date at end September 2021 looks attractive.
      • AP TM Forum will set up a working confluence page based on structure in WP05 and invite contributions

  • Review threads names in WP01 and decide if to change names. See WP01r1   Work Packages ( WP)
    • Item carried over form canceled  19 April Meeting NO change proposed to  WP01r1.
  • Review /agree meeting schedule proposal Multi-SDO AN Meeting Schedules
    • Note that 3PPP have meeting 23 -30th August which clashes with two scheduled meetings.
    • Proposed that:
      •  23rd August meeting is rescheduled to 16th August 2021
      • 30th August rescheduled to 6th Sept 2021

  • WP04 IEEE  Common operational principles   these can be distilled out of the WPO2 data captured in the work above for WP02
  • Proposed that WP02 above will reference that WP04 provided it is available by the publication date.
  • AP IEEE will make a proposl proposal for the contents of such Common Operatinal Priinciples Principles document
