With Notifications you can:
- Follow entire page trees with a single click, this is critcal for getting notification of new discussions or replies in a project.
- Optionally watch any new pages that are added to the page tree hierarchy
- Manually override and choose which pages to not to watch in the hierarchy
- Manage all notifications from your profile
Default watch settings when a user joins a project
Each Collbaoration project has a Discussion section in the the page tree. When users join a project, noticiations are set up that you will receive notifctions when a new discussion post is created or a reply is made.
Some projects have just a General discussion forum while other project have both a general discussion form and forums dedicated to specific topics. Initially project members get notification on all disucssion forums, but if you are only interested in one topic, "Life Cycle Model" for example, you can update your notifications to receive only those discussion posts.
Managing your notifications
Watching
When you watch a whole space you receive notification on all the content changes in the space. TM Forum advises watching a whole space and not just a page. Look for the Watch button on the upper right menu and select "Watch all content in this space".

Daily Updates
The Daily Update is a nice way to get updates on spaces you watch. You can manage what you are subscribed to here http://projects.tmforum.org/wiki/users/viewmyemailsettings.action
I have selected to subscribe to daily updates.
Here is an example of a Daily Update I get from Confluence, it allows me to see the "pulse" of projects that I am actively managing and others that I am only participating or just interested in.
