TM Forum Intent Management Interface Update: Catalyst results API and Ontology progress
- Results of IDAN catalyst DTW Copenhagen Sept 2022
  - Discusion of the use cases which were agreed with Vodafone and based on spot price marketplace (Johanne Mayer)
  - Run though of the Demo showed how TMF 921A Intent Management API and Intent Handlers work together with traditional APIs to decouple product serivce and resource intents and their operation.

  - Introduces functions and logical operator to express intent.
  - Conditon object replace paramaters - atomic requirements.
  - Refinement of target descriptions.
  - addtion of connector models for links to extension models.
  - Showed examples of addtional of Containers to allow better precise expression of requirements.
  - Showed example of use of function and nested functions.
    - Question about whether ( with Functions) we are creating a form of programmming language (Tero Hemio)
    - Its more about expressiveness and precision of specfications
    - These specs are produced by machines
    - Can put NLP /chatbots over the top of these intents

Is the intent handler a product sold suppliers or is it an open source application that can be used by TMF members?

1. Are we getting to close to a "programming langauge"
2. Intention is to have expressive language..
3. Kevin: valid point but we are being cautiuos there....a balance between unambiguity/terseness/expressiveness. Note, we dont expect humans to craft expressions!
4. Tero: RDF can express anything ....but ICM is getting a little too opinionated.
