This wiki describes the procedures used by domain team members to access the SID model in SVN, update the model, and coordinate with other members and teams.

The page Installing RSA for SID use describes how to install RSA and SVN plugin for SID use to have the right set of pre-requisites for SID work.

As of end of January 2012, only RSA 8.0 should be installed. RSM 7.5.5 is no longer supported.

Each team working on a project related to the SID will get a branch of the SID with an url in the following format: http://collab.tmforum.org/svn/repos/sidmodels/SID Models/branches/XXX where XXX is the code of the project. The project team needs to ask the SID leads for a branch before starting their work. This branch will last for the project duration and will be merged back in the SID when the project is approved.

The page Initial Setup describes this initial setup of RSA when working on a SID project.

RSA uses profiles to define the stereotypes applicable to a project. 2 profiles are applicable to the SID:

  •  Lifecycle ProfileThis profile is used to highlight considerations of maturity of an entity in the model. Where the profile is not applied, there is no specific statement to make on the maturity of the entity.
  • TIP Profile: This profile defines the  stereotypes that are used to decorate the SID model for the implementation of interfaces.

The SID can be used as the Information Modeling  basis for interface development. While most of the information needed is described in the JOSIF Guidebook, the page TIP Interface Development describes the various steps needed.
