Catalyst Team Awards at DTW'23

Catalyst Team Awards recognize achievements in igniting industry innovation, collaboration, and growth through their proof-of-concepts.

This year we will have two sets of Catalyst Awards - 'Open Innovation Catalyst Awards' & 'Moonshot Catalyst Awards' to recognize the projects' which demonstrate excellence in their respective categories.

The Open Innovation Catalyst Awards recognize Catalysts that address the key industry challenges through the most engaging, innovative & impactful solutions. All Open Innovation Catalyst teams are eligible for these award categories (i.e. Catalysts with URNs - C23.0.xxx).

The Moonshot Catalyst Awards recognize Catalysts working to solve the Moonshot Challenges by offering ground-breaking and commercially viable technology solutions to the key industry challenges in the most interactive way. All Moonshot Catalyst teams (i.e. Catalysts with URNs - M23.0.xxx) are eligible for the award category of their respective challenge (Metaverse or Energy Challenge).

Guidelines & Judging Process

(Applicable for both awards, unless specified)

  • Each Catalyst will be allocated a panel of 3 Judges to review & score the teams.

  • Judges would be reviewing the Catalyst teams based on the following: -

    • Awards Submission forms (To be filled in by teams - PRIOR to the event)

    • Catalyst Spaces/URL/Resources shared on their spaces etc. (Kindly ensure to keep it updated with the latest information)

    • Onsite team interactions/demos at their booths (at the DTW event in Copenhagen)

  • Catalyst Awards webinars will also be held by TM Forum staff in July-August, to share about this in detail. 

  • Catalyst team must submit their Awards' submission forms for Judges to review. Template & details to be shared in due course.

  • Open Innovation Catalysts may select a maximum of 3 Award Categories for competing. 

  • Each Catalyst team will be allocated a common Username & Password to access the Awards portal and for submitting their Awards Submission Forms.

  • At the DTW event, Judging will be concentrated on Day 1 and partially on Day 2 (morning).

  • Judges will visit the Catalyst kiosk of allocated teams primarily on Day 1 (19th Sept) & on first half of Day 2 (20th Sept till 1pm) to interact & score the teams.

  • Judging time blocks or slots will be allocated to teams. 

  • Although we encourage Judges to visit in the set time blocks, in case of any conflicts with their schedules Judges may visit the team as per their own convenience. Teams are advised to ensure that their booth is manned during all time blocks.

·    Catalyst Award Categories live on confluence for teams to review. 

3rd July 2023

·    Awards Submission form live. Template / Team logins / URL will be shared with all Catalysts.

5th July 2023

·   'Open Innovation Catalyst Awards Webinar' for Open Innovation Catalysts (C23.0.xxx). Register Here - Only Open Innovation Catalysts (i.e. Catalyst URNs - C23.0.xxx)

12th July 2023

·   'Moonshot Catalyst Awards Webinar' for Moonshot Catalysts (M23.0.xxx). Register Here - Only Moonshot Catalysts (i.e. Catalyst URNs - M23.0.xxx)

25th August 2023 (Midnight, EST)

·    Deadline: Awards Submission form closes. All teams to ensure they submit their form before deadline.

11th September onwards 

·    Judges allocated to each Catalyst teams. They may start reviewing the Catalyst Spaces & Submission forms as a pre-event exercise.  

6th September

·    Judging timeslots for event (on 19th-20th September) will be shared with teams. 

19th to 20th Sept, 2023

·    Judges visit the allocated teams at their booths to review & score teams.

21st Sept at 1:15pm 

·    Awards Ceremony to announce the winners & finalists at the event.
